Devonshire Mill

Skipsea Gardening Club members enjoyed perfect weather on the 7th February for the first road trip of the 2024 season.

We made our way to the Devonshire Mill in Pocklington, the mill dates back to the 1700's and has a fantastic display of snowdrops, set in two acres surrounding the mill. More Photographs

Harlow Carr

A benefit of being a member of Skipsea Gardening Club included a visit, with free entry, to Harlow Carr gardens on the 15th May 2024.

Members enjoyed a pleasant day out in beautiful surroundings and some of the famous refreshments available on site.

The Nursery, Acomb

Skipsea Gardening Club members visited the 'tardis' like Nursery in Acomb, a one acre private organic garden hidden away which can be visited through the National Garden Scheme.

Many greenhouses compliment the warren of gardens that provide an abundance of fruit and vegetables.

Thwaite Gardens

Skipsea Gardening Club visited Thwaite Gardens on 20th August, we were expertly guided around the grounds by Steve Howe.

The gardens cover roughly one hectare and have been owned by the University of Hull since 1948, they are maintained by a passionate group of volunteers More Photographs
